# Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole (BLEW) Protocol

Data communication between IOS and Android mobile devices via Bluetooth protocol has always been challenging due to operator imposed policies. The MetaLife team has successfully built the Bluetooth Low-Energy Wormhole (BLEW) Protocol that bridge across platforms.

The MetaLife Social Network will incorporate this protocol to allow messaging across platforms even when internet is not available.

The video below demonstrates the protocol interoperability between an iPhone and an Android phone.
